What do we process your data for (purpose of the processing), and on what legal basis?
Operation and security of the service
Each time you visit our website, our system automatically records data and information from your computer system. The following data are collected:
- IP address, with the final two digits (bytes) truncated; for example, IP address 11.22.33.44 becomes 11.22.0.0

The data are saved by our system (server protocol files, log files). These data are not saved together with your other personal data.
Data are saved in log files to ensure the functionality of the website. These data also allow us to optimise the website, and ensure the security of our information technology systems. These data are not analysed for marketing purposes in this context. Data in log files are deleted after seven days at the latest. The legal basis for the temporary storage of the data and the log files is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
The collation of data for the provision of the website and the storage of data in log files is essential for the secure operation of the website, the checking of security-relevant incidents and the correction of errors.

The legal basis for the processing of the data and the log files is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. If the email contact is for the purpose of concluding a contract, the additional legal basis for the processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Data that is sent by email is deleted when the respective conversation with you has ended. The conversation is ended when the circumstances indicate that the matter in question has been conclusively resolved. If there is a storage obligation, the data will be deleted after this obligation has expired.
The user may object to the storage of their personal data at any time. In this case, the conversation cannot be continued. Please submit your objection to the email address above. All personal data saved in the process of making contact are in this case deleted provided there is no obligation to retain it.

Upwind processes the data of prospects and contractual partners in order to perform contractual and pre-contractual services. These include, for example, contact, performance and payment data as well as business communication.

Data are deleted when the data are no longer required for the fulfilment of contractual or legal obligations and for dealing with any warranty or similar obligations; the statutory storage obligations otherwise apply.
Which third parties can obtain information about you?
Service providers for the provision of the website
For the provision of the web service, we work with so-called data processors on the basis of Art. 28 GDPR. These provide certain services, for example the IT for the operation of this website (web host) or the development, maintenance and upkeep of the website. The data processors are not permitted to process your data for their own purposes. This is a contractual obligation.
